Experience
I have been working with clients since 2011. My specialization is working with adolescents with high risk behaviors in various settings along the continuum of care including psychiatric inpatient hospitalization, partial hospital day programming, intensive outpatient programming & individual and group counseling.
Theoretical & Clinical Orientation
Theoretically, I am an existential humanist, which focuses on building a therapeutic relationship based on genuine, authentic, unconditional positive regard while exploring and expanding one's idea of self within the confines of the human condition and with awareness of how systemic issues impact our lives, communities and wellbeing.
Clinically, I operate integratively using evidenced-based practices, and primarily pull from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I have been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS), Exposure and Ritual Prevention (EXRP) & Habit Reversal Training (HRT).
Areas of focus
I have experience working with most problems of distress, however I have the most experience working with issues around:
Chronic suicidality & self harm
Depression & mood issues
Anxiety & OCD
Emotional dysregulation (often associated with 'Borderline Personality' traits and neurodivergence)
PTSD, cPTSD/Developmental Trauma
Services
Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy sessions in-person and virtually for those between the ages of 14 and 25 years old. I can provide conjoint carer support sessions for current individual clients (i.e. meeting together with friends, family, significant others), however this is not to be confused with family therapy or couples counseling.
I am only licensed in the state of Pennsylvania so, unfortunately, I am legally confined to treating those residing within the borders of the state.

Insurance
I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Cigna, Independence Blue Cross, Highmark, United Healthcare, Quest Behavioral Health and Mental Health Consultants. If you are using insurance, the amount you are responsible for is dependent on your plan and benefits issued by your employer. Please check with your insurance company to determine your costs for services. They may inquire about my tax ID (84-3640004), my NPI (1174907901) or CPT codes (noted above).
I am not in-network with medicaid/medical assistance (Keystone First, Geisinger, United Healthcare Community Plan, UPMC, HealthPartners), so cannot bill medicaid as the primary or secondary insurer.
Other Info
I am LGBTQ+ & neurodiversity affirming. I am slowly moving my practice away from the medicalization of mental health issues and am integrating aspects of the Power Threat Meaning Framework into my work.
